For the 200th Anniversary of Singapore's 'founding' by 'sir' Stamford Raffles.
First shot taken at 6:19pm (to illustrate the year, 1819 - singapore's 'founding'); second shot(multiple exposure) taken at 6:19pm and 8:19pm (to illustrate the year, 2019). As the sky would have been dark at night, i took a shot immediately after the first shot and then took another shot over it at 8.19pm - that's why the clock face glows as it only does so at night when it is dark.
I wrote to the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board about their possibly using this picture for brochures or postcards, etc. They didn't bother to respond. Not very polite these singaporeans. A friend of mine said, when i told him about this, that they'd probably take the idea, do it themselves, and claim the credit. Quite typical in a country where ideas are either copied whilst the producer is given no credit, or ideas are ignored simply because it didn't come from them. But, to be fair, I don't know if it applies in this case. We'll see.
Idea conceived and photographed by Edwin S Anthony (using a Mamiya 7II and a ton and a half of patience and perseverance).
